Johnson County remains fairly segregated south of I-435. Only northern Overland Park, Shawnee, Mission, older Olathe, and Roeland Park have seen much change. The Oak Park Mall-Metcalf South area has seen a decent change as well, but the Missouri side suburbia isn't any more or less diverse than most of JoCo.

Look at the map on this page. It's pretty evident that there are predominantly black and predominantly white parts of town. Old cities like St Louis, Kansas City, Atlanta, and Chicago are often very segregated.
