Fri/Sat online tickets sold out. We have tickets for tomorrow (Sunday). $10 for <13yo, $14 13+ before tax. Looks like when you order online you choose an hour of day to arrive.

Yeah, it's small, can take just an hour to get through but overall it doesn't suck. Pretty good design overall. Is well designed for kids as most tanks go to the floor and there are crawl spaces to pop head into the middle of some tanks. If you didn't get your fill, try going back in reverse, we did catch things missed first pass. We talked to the staff and they said they plan to switch things up through the year to attract repeat visits. Was good enough that we decided to get season passes.

A nice addition for Crown Center. Legoland is supposed to open in a few more weeks. The Lego store is already open, which is shared with the Sea Life store.

Let's see if this video works. There are two tanks with rays, this is the smaller one...

Any pics of the lego store or mini lego city? That lego city had better have some of KC's landmark skyscrapers in it. I heard it will be all stadiu. That would be suck if KC's art deco towers were not represented there.

BTW, I have never heard of such a small aquarium selling tickets by hour slots, that's kind of weird. Wonder if they are doing that to get through the initial period where everybody in the city comes to check it out.

This is a great addition for crown center though.

I can't wait to check out the new aquarium. I'll be able to see it when my sister, brother-in-law, and 8-month-old niece come in to visit in May.

A few more vids..

Sharks going over walkthrough tunnel. There is one large tank that has two tunnels and a couple other peek holes around it. They did a pretty good job optimizing different views of the largest tank from various parts of walkthrough.

Exterior shots? I'm hoping they did something with the 70's era exterior of Hall etc in the process.

The entrance faces the fountains and they've added a wavy awning over entrances that matches and reaches to the ice skating pavilion. Large Sea Life/Legoland signs are above the awning. They took out the corner of building and looks like they'll be putting in a glassed in elevator (I'm just guessing) to get to Legoland on second level.

Is nice to have an annual pass if you work in Crown Center as it's an easy thing to check out over lunch hour if you have enough time to gel out at the largest tank - there's a place to sit at last leg of largest tank. Would be great if they could find a way to put small tables somewhere that is viewable to largest tank to hold small meetings for the companies nearby. This Sea Life is a little more integrated to its surroundings than a typical mall setting - has an integrated access feeling to those who live, work CC or stay at a CC hotel.

We went last week, and it was nice -- and I guess if you come from a city that has no public aquarium, it's fantastic. We were a tad underwhelmed because we grew up visiting the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Any aquarium is a very peaceful and beautiful place to be.

Good to see positive reviews despite its size. It will be interesting to see the reviews come in on tripadviser as well.

I think overall, this will be a good fit for KC and crown center without having to figure out a way to fund a very expensive full scale aquarium. I just thought it was priced high for the size. We are members of the National Aquarium and when we go, we can spend 4-6 hours in the place.

But size is not everything if it's a quality attraction and a good value. Combined with the lego place, it should be a hit with suburban families and tourists. I’m sure there will be many ways to get discounted tickets for both.

And it has to be better than the aquarium in DC.
