From which direction will you be coming and where are you going? What time of day (if you know)?

If you are staying on 70 cross country, then it makes no sense to take the beltway around or something as that would add far more time than any delay on 70 would be and 435/470 etc can be much more congested than 70 is during rush hour anyway.

70 on the MO side will get congested eastbound in the evenings and westbound in the mornings. 70 on the KS side is never congested unless they are doing construction somewhere. The best BBQ in KC is close to 70 anyway. Won't you be hungry?

One tip is to take 670 through downtown rather than follow the 70 signs. It's actually the more direct route while 70 narrows down to ONE lane a couple of times, requires many lane changes and has sharp turns (not to mention it's a few miles longer.)
