does anyone know of any puppy play groups/socialization in the area that are during the weekdays? I would like my puppy to start socializing soon. If not, maybe (if anyone is interested) a few of us can get together and let our pups meet. Just a thought.

There is a dog park at S end of Penn Valley Park along 31st off Main. The dog park is massive but it has a separate small fenced in area for small dogs and puppies.

Thanks! I used to take my other dog there, I have had a few issues there regarding people not wathcing their dogs. I think I may check it out again though.

^Most people I know have had similar issues with Penn Valley. I adore Shawnee Mission Park but it's kind of annoyingly far away.

What kind of pup do you have? Why no weekends?

Default park

I have heard good things about Shawnee mission dog park. The pup is 12 weeks old, I wouldn't take him anywhere until he has his last round of puppy shots. We adopted him from a rescue when he was 9 weeks old, they said his mother was a purebred white American bulldog, but when I look at him, I see a beagle/jack Russell mix Lol!! We did the DNA breed test today out of curiosity. Only on the weekdays because my husband works long hours and his only day off is Sunday, relaxation. I would take the pup when he is at work. We would both take him to the park occassionally though.
