Hard to believe this was a landfill ten years ago. I took this photo recently while landing at Downtown airport.

I actually didn't know its history; it's certainly a nice area. We have family who just built a new home in Riverside and are in this funny middle ground -- walking distance to Briarcliff as well as the Bix X or whatever that cheesy place in Riverside is called.

Home of High Water, Hot Fires, and Low Prices.

Also, the only place the TV news stations come to film when Lottery jackpots get up there.

Red X always allows us to shoot video inside the store when lottery jackpots are ridiculous. Others are not so friendly.

Thanks for the photo. Briarcliff is looking good and a nice development. I had no idea there was once landfill there.

Briarcliff may be the most exclusive retail development in Kansas City. Would anybody here argue with that? I honestly can't think of anything more exclusive.

169 and Briarcliff Parkway, just north of the Downtown Airport, just south of Vivion Road. It's in the part of KCMO that borders Riverside and Northmoor.

Thanks, just looked it up on Google and Maps. Nice location and development. Haven't been in that part of town in ages. Great they can reclaim land, especially in a location like that.
