I love KCMO and lived there during the 1980's. I've been reading about the many revitalized neighborhoods in the central city areas (Quality Hill, Library District, Garment District, Union Hill, River Market area, etc) and it looks like a lot of redevelopment has happened in the last 20-25 years. When I lived there, the Plaza and Westport areas were doing well, but that development has greatly expanded. I also know that Kansas City has crime problems like other big cities, and I'm wondering how crime rates and safety issues are addressed in these new redeveloped areas, as there are many interesting city buildings being rehabbed for living in central downtown neighborhoods. Anyone have experience or knowledge? Thanks in advance.
