While this would be a better world w/out lobbyists, they are a necessary evil in our system and Kit Bond is a good score to represent KC. He helped KC get quite a few things like consolidated IRS center, Honeywell project, Fed Courthouse and MAX bus. Would like to hear what he plans to target next.

KC needs a lobbyist because it sure doesn't get a lot of help from Jeff City (and Topeka is practically an enemy).

My guess is Bond will bring money to help fund the expansion of the streetcar line, continue to push for federal government investment in the city (maybe a new federal building will finally get off the ground) and probably money for major roadway and transit projects throughout the metro.

STL has hired a lobbyist firm as well, but not with history of what Kit Bond has brought.
