I am investigating the idea of moving to KC in the Brookside or Waldo areas, and as a parent of 4 elementary school aged kids who cant afford private schools, I'm interested in sending them to a charter school.

I have found this list of charter schools, but don't know anything about them.

Kansas City Charter Public School Directory | Missouri Charter Public School Association

Can anyone help me out with the school situation in KCMO proper? Thanks in advance...

There is this new school opening up called Hale Cook and its only for residents in that area, the boundaries are like 75th to 55th from State Line to Holmes I believe, these boundaries would set up for a really good school.

FAQs @ Friends of Hale Cook

The French Charter school is a very good school but its hard to get in. There is also a new crossroads Art Focused Charter school that is suppose to be pretty good as well.

The Kauffman Foundation also operates a charter school that currently convenes in Westport, but is building a facility that will be in the vicinity of Waldo/Brookside.
