Hi, I'm being stationed at ft Leavenworth later this year. I've lived in Texas for the past five years and love city life. I'm thinking of living in dtkc or zona rosa. I'm in my late 20's, want safety and an upscale area, close to shopping, outdoor activities and nightlife. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!!

You will miss TX once you get to KC. It blows up here, the town is depressing and old and crime ridden. No nightlife to speak of and nothing is upscale.

99TTC5, why the heck do you still live in KC? Everything you post is negative, as well as being wrong. Don't you think, if you hate KC so much, you'd be happier somewhere else?

I spent 44 years living in Southern California and 3 living in Seattle. I think that qualifies me to kvetch about someplace not living up to my standards. And KC does fine.

Even though I left 16 years ago I know that is BS.

Dont feed the troll. It wants you to react.

OP, Leavenworth is pretty far from the city. Might have to settle for KC North suburbs. Maybe Barry Rd. Is then doable commute to either.

I currently live near Zona Rosa and it is very nice. We moved from Johnson Co leaving all the traffic behind. The positive thing about the zona rosa area is that it is a quick trip dt and a short commute to leavenworth.
