The company I work with uses several different effective methods and algorithms to model business development, economic growth trends, consumer spending patterns, income, etc, for both the I 35 corridor, from San Antonio to Minneapolis and the Pacific Region from San Diego up to Seattle. They're several free place match sites that still do this, but I don't know how current they are.

I don't define redneck as farmers and country people. While they can be that demographic, I don't think agriculture and redneck go hand and hand.

I agree. There are hicks and rednecks living in metro Detroit.

It's very cool what you did. You should do the same thing for Kansas City, KS, and post it here, if you're willing and can. I'm originally from KCK and know it's a weird place, so that's why I ask.

Very cool, Techwired!

Thanks for doing KCK. I'll have to check out Akron, OH, and see if I can see the similarities.

The others are interesting, as well.

Edit: it didn't take long for me to think that if KCK were independent from the KC area and thus more of the professionals and professions required to run it actually lived there and were located there, well, I think KCK would look exactly like Akron.

belton is white trash, raymore is a mini lees summit, peculiar/harrisonville/freeman/cleveland are the redneck areas of cass county.

raymore is purely suburban, no downtown anymore (original mainstreet has almost been completely demolished), no industry or commercial enterprises outside of what caters directly to the residents needs (like grocery stores, family doctors, gas stations, fast food, etc.).
