Stroud's has awesome chicken noodle soup.

It's extremely close to my house, and when I'm sick, it's a way better use of time to have my husband pick some up there for me than make it from scratch. Although my husband makes a mean chicken noodle soup. Super comfort food.

Wow, we are getting Zaxby's and Raising Caine's? That is really the bottom of the barrel as far as new and creative quick service/fast food restaurants go. Everything on both of these chains menus seems to be either fried, or some shade of beige or both. If you are not a fan of chicken fingers, I am not sure why you would ever go to either one of these places.

Even if you ARE a fan of something as bland and uninspired as breaded, processed chicken, haven't they been selling it at McDonalds, for at least 30 years in the form of nuggets? Or at almost any bar/casual restaurant, you should be able to order these if you absolutely have to have them.

Sorry for the negativity, but having multiple locations built to serve the same bland, uninspiring food that is alredy widely available seems like a huge waste of real estate and crowds out concepts that are truly innovative and unique.

KC isn't especially suffering from a lack of chain dining options, imo.

Agree--if anything, it needs more local options.

I feel like it's well-supplied on that end of things, also, myself. Food options in the KC metro are really not lacking, whether on the locally owned or chain end of things.
