I recently moved back to KCMO and was hoping to check out the Truman Mall Theater (iirc). Went by there and saw it overgrown with weeds, or was that the old Blue Ridge Theater?
...
anyway, can you tell me where the dollar (type) theaters are now?

They are all closed. Sorry.

Noland Fashion Square, the area

All the area chains offer cheaper matinees though.

The Pharaoh Theater on the Historic Independence Square has just upgraded to digital projection, and tends to run a bit cheaper than the big boys.

The least expensive movie theater in town that I know if is Cinemark on the Plaza.

that was a nice article
i guess the last cool thing would be the 'classic' theaters
personally i've found those 'fancy' chairs to be a pain in the neck, literally
terrible for short skinny people
makes me wonder how kids can stand it
i guess they aren't all bad, though I don't feel like finding out the hard way
.
anybody know of a site that reviews the seats in movie theaters?
lol

I would think most theaters would be mentioned on Yelp; I know there are a lot of comments about the new Cinetopia theater in Overland Park...
