Okay, I spent some time putting this together, but there could be some errors, omissions etc. So please add anything I missed or correct anything that is incorrect and discuss these projects as they progress.

There is actually quite a bit going on in KCMO. I still think the local business community has turned its back on the central city, but despite that, KCMO's urban residential is really starting to take off and out of town businesses are taking notice. Maybe in a few years, the local companies will take notice as well.

This is only projects in Kansas City, MO and I honestly would prefer that it stay that way and the Kansas side not be discussed at all in this thread.

Wow! Thanks for the summary. Lots of infill and redevelopment. If only that cerner office space were going up downtown, kc would probably have skyscrapers to add to this list not to mention even more hotels and residential to support the cerner employees. But even so, this is a nice list of active projects.

They have close to a 1000 rooms UC this year in Downtown. That's great. However, the city should still make a convention center hotel a priority because downtown needs a few thousand more rooms.

The streetcar should be huge for helping lure conventions by bringing close to 2000 rooms in Crown Center a bit closer to the Convention Center.

With or without a convention hotel, I wouldn't be surprised to see a major new hotel/mixed use tower announced for downtown soon with residential taking off the way it is. A W hotel with condos would be a nice catch.
