I am not Asian Indian, but I loved shopping at the India Emporium in Overland Park. They don't appear to have a website, but here is the address. You can go from there to get more information.

India Emporium
Indian Creek Shopping Center, 10458 Metcalf Ave,
Overland Park, KS 66212

Good luck with your move! There is a large Asian Indian population in the Kansas City Metro area.

Go to the 888 International Market at 10118 w 199th st, overland park Ks 66213. Located just off 69 hwy and 119th st. As you go through the parking lot you will also see an INDIAN GROCERY and i think a restaurant as well. 888 has a large selection of items and well worth the trip. You can meet up with many Indians to get the info you want.

South Overland Park area seems to have the highest concentration of people of Indian descent and the most by way of related retail.

There is also a decent concentration of Indian population in Western Shawnee in the Desoto school district. Not a huge percentage but a nice group. This is the area west of 435. Good luck in your move and welcome to KC and Kansas.

Lots of Asian Indians in south Overland Park and Leawood. I don't know how many specifically would live in apartments. I think a lot of them tend to be professional people (doctors, etc.) and own homes. I'm sure some live in apartments as well.

There's a large nice apartment complex at 135th and highway 69 that some friends of mine used to live in. There was a pretty large number of people from India that lived there. The apartments were really nice as well.
