Are you seriously suggesting removing bus service from those routes before putting streetcars up for a vote? You have to be kidding me...

No one is removing any bus services. It DQs you from federal funding for rail transit, as it should. Buses are the primary mode of public transportation in KC (and everywhere else in the world) and that's not going to change.

The goal, especially in a place as underserved as KC, should always be to add transit and transit options, not to substitute them one for the other.

The voters on those all those routes except Main and Broadway have sent a very clear message that they prefer the cost/benefit of bus routes in their neighborhoods, and that's exactly what they are being provided.

The voters in the Main Street and Broadway corridor have sent a very clear message that they would like to see, and are willing to pay for, a streetcar extension, and that is the only thing being proposed for the immediate future.
