Default which school district??

My husband, 16 yr old son and I are moving to Missouri. We would like to live in the Northeast Independence or Blue Springs area. Which school district Osage Fort or Blue Springs are the best. My son like I said my son is 16 and he will need to finish his last 2 months of school in Missouri. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Blue Springs seems to bit more of a draw when I work w/ Clients due to a good school district and good resale values. Lee's Summit is also known for great schools. Good luck on your move! Hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer before you get here. It's COLD now!

She didn't ask about Lee's Summit .

Both of those districts are fine so it will come down to what kind of home in what kind of area you want.

Blue Springs will be more suburban, Fort Osage will be more semi/rural.

So, if you want a more rural setting and school, go with Fort Osage.

If you want a more suburban setting and school, go with Blue Springs.

Both are fine districts.

I appreciate all the info. We will probably stick with blue springs. Do you happen to know a website to find the district borders for fort osage high school tho just in case.
We need to find an apartment to stay in until our house sells, know of any good ones, we will have our cat with us.
Thanks a bunch!!

Try that link. It worked for me to show Blue Springs boundaries. I'm not familiar w/ an apartment right now that will fits your needs. But, I'll do some checkin' around. Thanks!

I checked that already and was hoping for some more detail. It's a bit confusing when you don't know the area. Thanks

There are some nice, new apartment complexes near Independence Center mall that are in the Blue Springs School District (even though they are in the city of Independence).

The Dunes, brand new, across from Costco

Thanks they were very helpful. I had been to that website but didn't see any of those 3. I am just so tired of looking. We have a few now that we can check out when we come to town. Thanks again.

Kill The New Ruskin Fence is on a distinguished road
More Lee's Summit: near by Longview Community College for the post graduate.

Think again, think again. One of my best buddies, now a noted local artiste, had his family move out of the area in 1968. He could have easily slept on my bed room floor for a couple of months and graduated at Ruskin with his friends and track team mates. But the light bulb did not glow over my head.

Isn't there any friend or family that could take him in for a couple of months. To move weeks before graduation at any level is just short of child abuse.

Think, think, and reconsider. [And second honey moon for you and hubby! Win, win, win!]
