Surely you jest. The push for this new terminal is for all the wrong reasons.

Hillary would have had to have won big for there to be any comparison between this and last year's election.

Well, maybe if the airport loses the popular vote, but wins when the electoral votes come in from the counties in rural Missouri, it would be the same. Hopefully, after the terminal is built, it has more support than Trump's 25% too.

So back to KCI.

I'm really impressed so far with the results. It's like most of the people have educated themselves on this topic or something!

Pretty impressed by the margin, especially up north.

Obviously I live in eastern Jackson County so I couldn't vote, but glad to see it was overwhelmingly yes. There were quite a number of people who posted on Facebook and elsewhere that they wouldn't vote for it, but surprisingly not a lot of airtime on the radio against it. In fact, I can't recall hearing any commercials at all, while I heard at least 3 or 4 in favor of it

Landslide "yes" vote. Interesting that people thought it would be so much closer.

The no people seemed to be pretty vocal. I bet it would have been much closer had the vote happened a year ago.

So I have been beating on this "dead horse" for years. I guess the horse is finally dead for good! Good job KC. Hopefully the final built project is something everybody can be proud of.

And to think that my son had a part in it spreading pamphlets about why a "yes" vote is necessary. I'm glad it passed - fantastic. It's long overdue for KC's residents and KCI employees, airline pilots, flight attendants and so on.
