I don't mind splitting hairs

You can't see any of the large buildings in Corporate Woods from Metcalf. The Lighten Plaza, Darth Vader building (forget the real name), Marriott and a few others create sort of a mini skyline around Metcalf between College and 435. Corporate woods has several large buildings, but that area is very spread out. College Blvd has a few as well, namely the Sheraton hotel, but again, things are pretty spread out.

If all the Corporate woods buildings and all the buildings east of Metcalf along College were in that same area plus the glenwood towers at 95th, OP would have a pretty impressive suburban skyline. And if Sprint were not a low rise campus, the OP skyline might even start to rival parts of KCMO like the plaza. It would for sure blow away Wichita and Topeka.

This is probably the best single skyline photo you can get in OP.

Who cares other than you? And you only care because you will find anything you can to put down Johnson County. But seriously - the skyline?!

I have never ONCE been concerned about any skyline in Johnson County, and I've lived here most of my life.

To answer your question, I also care. kcmo and I agreed we were splitting hairs, but we found the conversation fun anyway. That doesn't mean you have to.

So both of you "care" about the skyline of a suburb you hate and have never lived in. Um, okay.

It reminds me of people with a spouse they hate, but can't seem to live without.

I. lived. in. Overland. Park.

My parents still do. Also, I didn't say I hated it. I just said it wasn't good. Why is it wrong to care about it?

Not wrong to care about Overland Park. To care about the "skyline" is kind of ridiculous.

Maybe OP's not good for you. It's wonderful for a whole lot of people - must be the reason it's on the Money Magazine's Best Places to Live list every year.

I was saying Overland Park's skyline "isn't good" and that it's the skyline I care about, because that was the topic at hand. If I somehow accidentally sparked a debate about Overland Park itself, then I apologize.

I don't really care about the overland park skyline. We were simply discussing it just like I discuss hundreds of cities across the country. If you have no interest in the topic, don't post in this thread. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the the conversation rwiksell and I were having.

Might want to take a chill pill.
