Looks like we will potentially have two quite different petitions voters may have the opportunity to vote on in August. Both petitions were forwarded to City Council as 'do pass' for an appearance on the August 8th ballot.

And both of these are taking place against the backdrop of the KCRTA's mail-ballot election to extend the current streetcar taxing district southward to the Plaza and UMKC, which is taking place over the summer. Only those living within the boundaries of the proposed district are voting on that, though, and given that, it's likely to pass.

Clay Chastain vows it's the last time? Where have we heard that before?
