I looked at a house on the 2400 block of E 68th Street. Is this a good neighborhood to buy a house in?

If the map on google is correct, it looks to be between Prospect and The Paseo.... both streets have a bad reputation, unfortunately. It's in east Kansas City, which is one area I would avoid.

Thank you! I thought I'd better ask people who know. Too bad, it was a really nice place too!

You are welcome. I hope I wasn't wrong on the address. There are lots of nice houses with great architecture in east KC, but sadly, many neighborhoods in that area just aren't safe right now.
If you're looking for an older home in KC proper, you might try Waldo, Brookside, West Plaza, Westport, I think Columbus Park is also coming around... and there are plenty of other areas I'm sure I'm leaving out, that would be better neighborhoods.

If you have a house to sell, can you post that somewhere? Weren't they going to set up a classifieds section? I can't seem to find it if they did. Thanks.

Also areas in East Kansas City that used to be zoned to schools in western Independence will no longer be zoned there; western Independence is going to the Independence school district
