I'm mainly interested in the areas of Agnes & 30 something streets and Agnes & 70 something streets. Which area is better and safer out of the two?

Pure ghettos. Take your life into your own hands.
Especially (I-70) Truman and Agnes & 30th & Agnes.
Rough ghettos.

Neither is safe, but if you have to choose between the two, I would pick "70-something" and Agnes. You're at least close to Research Hospital and the police station near 75th and Prospect.

Both are rough areas, but Agnes in the 70's BY FAR safer than Agnes in the 30's. Bad reputation of Agnes in the 30s, MUCH more deserved than Agnes in the 70's, as the 30's are pretty stereotypically hood by just about any measure. Agnes in the 70's, while rough, doesn't have nearly the activity (good or bad) as does the 30's. The 70's is slightly a older and more working class population, It's just that working class population happens to be largely black. Most who live around the 30's & Agnes would likely trade places with those living out in the 70's any day of the week. I know a few from Quindaro (rougher area of Kansas City, KS, much like Agnes in the 30's) who have moved a couple blocks away from Agnes within the 70's and they say the difference is like night and day. Compared to the worst parts of KCMO and KCK, Agnes in the 70's may even feel close to suburban

From where are you moving?

Honestly though if you're looking at the eastside it's all pretty gang-heavy. What are you looking for in a home and what price range? Maybe we can help you find an area?
