The big boys are going to get their way. Can anyone explain how they got to continue when the judge issued a stop work order?
Had an individual tried that; he would get arrested i think. Am i right? I am not sure.

I don't think any final decision has been made yet.

Platte City would be good if you'd like to ranch in the future. We have friends who started off there for the smaller town feel and now they have several cows.

Pretty much a no brainer on that one. Aquila has flexed their muscle on that one and has nearly won with the new legislation they got passed in the House of Rep's.

Warrensburg is a nice town. A bit further out perhaps, but ranching is going on there. It's maybe an hour drive. And that depends where in KC hubby will be working.

No one's mentioned Weston, Missouri? When I think of Weston I think of a Mayberry, quaint-shops and antique stores kind of place. It's about 35 minutes from the 435/I-70 area. Beyond that, I apologize but I really don't know much about farms and ranchland in the area.

Kansas City ....Mayberry Feeling? and Ranching?... First we need to clear up this Misconception that this is available in abundance. Kansas City is about 3 million people metro wide and Traffic snarls the city in about every direction and has dozens of suburbs north, east south and west with growth no end in sight. If you want do ranching your talking about at least 70 miles from KC on the Kansas Side, the missouri side is too hilly.
You mention Toganoxie and not finding land...thats because it rapidly growing into a suburb and merging into Basehor/Kansas City,KS. You might have to settle for a nice house in a quiet suburb.
