Raytown Elementary schools are good, but I have nothing good to say about the secondary schools. The east edge of Raytown is almost all new homes. We do have a new elementary school that will be opening next fall on the very eastern edge of Raytown.

Not a horrible area. Houses aren't the oldest, not the newest. Not my favorite area of Independence. Southern Independence is generally the better part, especially southeast. If you go further east along 24, towards the edge of town, it's not so bad.

My daughter lived in that area of Indep a few years ago. Fort Osage is a wonderful school district.

I was raised in Pleasant Valley area just outside of Liberty. The community has grown alot and has a nice mix of all races now. I moved to NKC for 8 years and then moved back to Liberty 5 years ago. I live with an AA man and find that there is alot of AAs in the area.
Liberty schools are better than the North Kansas city district. There are affordable nice places to live in Liberty.
I homeschool my kids, my daughter attended Nkc schools and i pulled her out and have homeschooled since.
Good luck finding someplace.

That's a pretty nice area. Nothing real fancy, but a nice, middle class suburban area. Close to shopping, highways etc. You should like it.
