Default Considering moving

I am considering moving to Belton, MO with my son. Can anyone tell me about manufactoring jobs around that area that pay decent?

The economy's not too great, obviously, but there are several factories in the area. Many of them are near the Missouri river. The Ford plant is in Claycomo. The GM plant is in KCK, near downtown, I think. North Kansas City is very industrial. There might be some places in the south metro. I just can't think of any right off.
The pay in the area is close to the national average. Not much more, not much worse. Finding a job right now would be difficult. The classifieds are looking thin.
