Your Opinion Please - Apartments in KC & 'burbs
I'm checking out apartments in the KC and surrounding area...of course for every one I find, there are a few great reviews online, and a few terrifying horrible ones. There's no way to tell what's good and what's not. My priorities are: safe, quiet, cheap, w/ short term leases, ideally in areas north or east of K.C, MO. Can anyone comment on the following apartments complexes?:
Liberty - Willshire/Cherokee Village, Jefferson
Independence - Coventry Park
Kansas City - Forest Park/Valley Forge
Gladstone - Randall Court, London Towers
Any recommendations (or warnings) for other places would be appreciated as well.

Thanks for responding. We are going to apply to the 2 places in Liberty and also Martin Apartments in Platte City. I prefer the Northland area, and I am too chicken to live in the city. Hopefully one of these three will work out.

For what my opinion is worth, I would suggest Liberty. Good luck with your choice, and at least it is short term if it isn't great. I think the part of the city from the Plaza south to about 83rd is beautiful and mostly safe as well (you absolutely must visit Loose Park on a nice day when the roses are blooming if you haven't yet!), but where you are looking to rent is better is you want something with a small town feel without the long commute.

I was a Northlander for more than 25years, just recently moving to the Springfield area. Gladstone,KCNorth,Liberty and even Kearney are nice places to live, just keep in mind the commute can be time consuming(rushhour traffic), so it might depend on where you work before you make your decision.
