Traffic is not too bad. You really can be anywhere in the city within 25 minutes.

If I had to be in Gladstone leaving from Lee's Summit, what time is 70 the most congested?

70 is barely congested at all and the parts that do get congested during the morning rush tend to be east of 435 due to all the merging traffic from on and off ramps. Once past 435, the there is no merging traffic and it flows pretty well unless there is a crash.

From LS to Gladstone, you can take 435 to 70 to 29 and there would be very little traffic. Getting to 435 via 470 would be the biggest challenge, but if you take 350 through Raytown, you can avoid the 470 congestion as well. Peak morning congestion on KC interstates is probably 7:15-7:45. before and after that, any congestion that KC does have (typically less than five minute delay anyway) goes away unless there are crashes. Which KC has a lot of.

I live in Olathe and will be traveling to Blue Springs for work, 8:30-3:30. What are the traffic conditions during these times. East bound at 8:30am and west bound at 3:30pm?

Google says 40-45 minutes in no traffic. During those times, google says 50 minutes to slightly over an hour.
