Default Union Hill in KC?

Hi - I'm relocating to KC from downtown Denver and wanted to find out what the Union Hill neighborhood was like. I grew up in KC so I know about Brookside and the Plaza, but I'm looking for something more urban but still safe. Any details on living in Union Hill would be great. Thanks!

I think Union Hill is a great neighborhood. It seems perfectly safe to me and definitely more urban than Brookside. It has a great location - close to Downtown.

There's been a good amount of activity over the past few years in the Southeast area of Union Hill with "Martini Corner" - a small trendy bar area, and some condo and townhouse construction on Gillham.

Is there a specific spot in Union Hill that you're looking at - because the look and feel of that neighborhood can change from block to block.

Thanks! The only information online I can find is at The Founders and Union Hill Place Apts. I'm sure there are more housing options, but other than Craigslist I'm not sure where to look.

There is a lot of condos or owner occupied places in Union Hill. But I'm sure there are many apartments as well.

It's a great area. Very quiet, yet in the middle of everything. It's one of my favorite areas of the city, it might even be my favorite.

Here are a couple of photos of Union Hill.
