I’m not talking MSA, but CMSA. I just want KC to compare in a fair way to other markets. It’s silly to include Greeley in Denver or Middletown in Cincy and not Lawrence in KC.
to be fair Middletown is in Cincinnati's MSA. It's about 30 miles away. Cincinnati's urbanized area touches Middletown city limits as well as Dayton's urbanized area.

How far do these TV stations transmit?

According to the book "Cities on the Plains" the Topeka media market includes all of northeast Kansas west of the KC media market. I believe that Manhattan and Emporia are included within the Topeka media market, but I am not certain as the county boundaries are not specified.
