Sex Offenders in Grain Valley?!? (Blue Springs, Jackson: house, live, car)

Last night my girlfriend got to her house in Grain Valley at around 3 am. It's not unusual for her to come home during the early hours when no one else is awake in the area, anyone up that late might notice that this is when she comes home 4/7 nights a week or so. This morning someone had written in the dust of her drivers window "Your next sexy"(sic).

I checked the Sex Offender map available at the Wisconsin Dept. of Corrections and I haven't seen any registered sex offenders in her area that I've felt inspired to confront regarding the situation, given their sexual history...but I'm not happy.

Has anyone here heard of any psychopaths sexually assaulting young looking women in the Grain Valley area? She's 21 years old but only about 5 feet tall and under 100 pounds. People mistake her for a minor constantly.

I can't decide whether to call the police or not. Seems like a creepy thing to do, but as long as she has pepper spray I think that might be enough?

I would have called the police. This should not be taken lightly. Pepper spray may well not be enough and could even be used against her if an attacker can get it from her. I would install motion activated lights around the house, make sure the police are informed, carry her car keys that have a panic button on them and maybe a mini air horn. The alarm and air horn will wake the neighbors and maybe get someone outside to investigate. Honestly at her size she could be easily disabled and carried off. I would be VERY concerned with that threat.

Call the police and give them the note. You need to have a report on file in case (heaven forbid) she gets another threat. Years ago when I was getting harrassing phone calls, I filed a police report, just in case. Thankfully, the calls stopped after I moved to another suburb, but I was was creeped out for a time.

Your girlfriend should probably not be out alone at that hour or after dark for awhile. I'm sorry you are both having to look over your shoulders. It isn't a nice feeling.

Yes, there several offenders in Grain Valley and also in Blue Springs nearby. Please contact GVPD at 816-847-6250 and also the Jackson County Sheriff's office at 816-524-4302. Also, view the map at www.familywatchdog.com and http://www.jacksoncomosheriff.org/index_files/sore.htm. It pinpoints the locations and gives details of registered offenders. If she finds out who is threatening her and they are on one of the lists, please contact the authorities so they are aware that the offender is thinking of attacking again. That way their probation officer will at least make a visit.

Like the other posters mentioned, please report this and do not feel sheepish about it. The threat should be taken seriously by the authorities. Her life may be at stake. Even if it is just a threat or scare tactic, this should not be occuring. This categorizes as stalking as well.

Yes there are sex offenders in Grain Valley. Eastern Jackson County has a group of pedophiles or did have at one time. These are Satanic type people. Many may doubt this statement but i have seen the after affects of happened to a young boy several years ago(sodomized). It is very hard to even mention this without disrespecting the many good people in eastern Jackson Cty; but it is true. One of these pedophile families lives at Tarsney Lakes. At the time of the occurence i mentioned; the wife assisted her husband and at that time her sister was doing 8yrs for molestation. Talk to the right cop and they will tell you it is true.
