Need weekend house rental for Steelers-Chiefs game
Can anyone point me in the direction of a house that I can rent for the weekend of the Steelers-Chiefs game somewhat close (less than 1hour or so). There will be 12 of us and we are NOT a drunken brawling group. (but we are loud die hard fans).
Thanks

Honestly, there is a pretty nice hotel about 500 yards from Arrowhead. Not being a nay-sayer but I don't think your chances of finding a house to rent (with 12 people no less) are very good. Good luck though

That house probably cost more for a weekend than six months of my mortgage!
You also might try Pitch.com
Keep in mind that most of the areas around the stadiums is not the best areas of town. It's not really unsafe, just small, older homes and some areas are no well kept.
What would be cool is to find an empty loft or something in the city for the weekend.

Even at $726 a night, which is the highest daily rate, actual average daily rate is probably less, but assume $726.
Split that between 5 or 6 couples and you're paying less than for a decent hotel and everyone is together.
I've done similar type rentals for family vacations and they've been great. There may well be better options though, especially if you're willing to have an hour radius, I didn't do a lot of digging but there are lots of little towns around KC that have B&B's that might be able to accomodate a group that size.
What was that one near Lawrence, KS? Circle S ranch?
Ah yes Circle S Ranch & Country Inn
That place was very nice and could easily accomodate you.

I can't imagine renting any kind of decent house to a bunch of pro football fans. Where will they don their paint, in the living room?

What? It has 5 BRs and sleeps up to 14 people.
He only wants it for a weekend and there are 12 people! 5-6 decent hotel rooms are going to total more than $726 per night (and he can probably negotiate an average rate that's less than that depending on what days he wants.)

Yeah I forgot about the 12 people he has... whoops
that's only $60.50/night/person if they are charged the maximum rate, which they probably wouldn't have to pay. so i'd say about $50/night wouldn't be too bad
