Working in Kansas City
Good day to the Forum,
I am flying to Kansas City on Monday and will be there on Contract work for a few months, My question is, is there any South Africans that we can meet when we are settled. It will be me and my wife.
I am looking forward to the trip.
Cheers

Welcome to Kansas City!
From where in SA are you coming?
I was in Capetown a few years ago, and I have to say it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!
I don't know anyone else from SA, but there are many friendly folks here on the forum and you will meet nice people where ever you are in the area who will be happy to answer questions or help out with suggestions.
Enjoy your time here!

Aahhhh ... all of it! I can't wait to go back there. No plans as of yet, I also want to go back to Zimbabwe and as yet I don't feel comfortable going there again.
Where in KC will you be staying/working?

I hope you are right. The news from there really scares me sometimes. I have friends who care for orphaned children in Zim and it has been very rough for them.
Back to your original question. Have you been to the States before? August is very warm, but hopefully not too bad. And if you have access to a car, you can check out some of the sites around Kansas City.
Welcome and enjoy your visit! I will enjoy hearing about your experiences here. South Africa is so different in some ways and so much the same in others, so it will be fun to compare first impressions.
