Default Apartments or Townhomes Lees Summit

Can anyone provide information on apartments or townhomes in Lees Summit?

I need at least a 2 br, 2bath. It will be for my boys and I. They are little so I really want somewhere that we can stay. I would like parks close by or walking trails. Obviously a good school.

I really would like to find somewhere that is built decent so I don't have to constantly worry that my boys are driving someone other than me crazy.

I am leaning towards Amli New Longview as it seems to have everything I want. It is expensive though.

I have searched for online reviews and haven't found a whole lot.

I love the townhomes in Arbor Walk but they may be out of my reach. The apartments there are not an option as I did find a ton of negative reviews online.

Not so sure about Eagle Creek, they seem to have a ton for sale?? Although they are more affordable.

I probably can't move till after winter is over however I am just looking and dreaming of the day that we are off this busy street and able to take a real walk in our neighborhood.

Thanks,

I am not really familiar with apartments in Lee's Summit, but we do live close to the apartments at New Longview. We have freinds whose children attend the elementary school over there and are pleased. and as I am sure you know there are quite a few walking trails around longview lake that would be fairly close.

Another great area in Lee's Summit is near Legacy Park. I'm not sure what apartments may be near, but the park is great, nice walking trails and it is the park where the local soccor and softball clubs play.

Have you looked into the Downtown LS area? Downtown LS is really nice and has some more urban options which it sounds like you are interested in with longview and arbor walk.

I think New Longview or Arbor walk would be ok. People don't go online to say positive things about places. Review of apartments are basically what went wrong for some people....

They could be right, but try to verify it. The Arbor walk is in a very nice part of Lee's Summit.

There are no apartments by Legacy Park. It's all single family, and mostly upper bracket single family homes. That's a nice area too though.

You might looks into the Lakewood area. I think there are some apartments and townhouses in that area.

Just went to New Longview wow they are nice. Kind of high but I am sure it is worth it.

Forgive me for having to ask but what area is Lakewood?

Oh and I do have my eye on downtown. I really like it there.

Lakewood is a nice area. I spent much of my childhood in Lakewood. It is a community built around a large lake with all the lake amenities one could want, boating, fishing, ect. There are three neighborhood pools, either one or two golf courses and housing that ranges from new to built in the late 60's/ 70's. If you have ever driven on I-470 North of Independence Center and 40 highway you've driven right past it. I know at one time you could not rent the properties per the Home Owners association, but that may have changed through the years.

Lakewood is basically the "area" on both sides of I-470 from just south of I-70 to just north of the 291 merge. There is a Lakewood subdivision that is built on and around two lakes west of 470, but the entire area is sort of labeled Lakewood. Most of the area is upscale. New homes start in the 350's, most are in the 400-500's. But... there are a few pockets of apartements and and townhouses so you might check it out. There are bike trails around the area, a nice price chopper etc. On the east side of 470 houses border the Jackson County Flemming Park which includes Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo (Jacksoncountymissouri ) It's a great park with a beach, RC aircraft airport, marinas with boat rentals etc.

You might check it out.
