Those cities have homes with cheaper prices per sq/ft, but are not as desirable as other cities in Johnson County. Shawnee, Overland Park, Prairie Village, and Leawood are better choices in my opinion. Olathe and Gardner feel like they belong out in central KS both literally and culturally.

Used to live there years ago--housing prices pretty good right now.Gardner is peaceful, quiet, and very laid back.Close enough to still commute, which I did to K.C...although it may get a tad dicey on the road in the wintertime....Olathe would probably be more expensive--used to live there too--,but it's better for jobs.

Who is "Freddie"? This thread is from 2009 and the OP has probably already made a decision on the market whether it be job market or housing market. And "Google" something on highways? Who was talking about highways in this thread?
