Does anybody here use the 24 Hour Fitness on Deerbrook, off of 291? How are the crowds, especially around 6PM (peak hours)? Friendly staff? Any opinions would be appreciated, thinking of doing the Costco deal.

I personally do not care for 24 hr fitness. I have a membership and would rather I didn't. The mass exodus from the gym starts around 7pm. Classes are always full and generally inconvenient timewise. I would look around some more before making that commitment.

I would check some of the locally owned gyms first. They will have good deals and not have a Starbucks mentality - meaning as many customers a day as they can. Peak hours will always be nuts and staff is trained for selling before customer service. That is true of all 24's.

I have a membership to 24 hour and go to the branch on Englewood Road up north and have never had an issue. I have never found it overly crowded regardless of when I go and rarely have to wait for any machine. I havent visited the others in the metro very often but have never had an issue there either.

As far as customer service, I have never really had an issue that needed addressing but whenever I have question they are always helpful and nice.

They do have a salesman mentality but that is because they are commissioned based and need to sell to make money.
