My parents lived there for about a year while my father was working for the city of Kansas City. They wanted to keep their home in Liberty, but they have a requirement that employees stay in the city of KC, so they stayed there during the week.

They seemed to like the building. Never had any complaints or issues with crime downtown. And this was prior to power and light being complete, about 3 years ago, so downtown was less populated.

yes, I am sure that happens, but those people could lose their job at anytime. They are given 1 year to move to city limits after that they are required to live in the city. I am sure it is commen for employees to lie, but my parents are just the type of people to not do that.

I was looking at the Quality Hill tower, too, and it looks pretty nice. Never actually been there, but it's definitely centrally located, close to downtown, Westport, and P & L.

I don't think that area's too bad. There's a park overlooking the West Bottoms and the river across the street. I used to live not far from there. Those apartments look a little dated (not horrible or anything) from the outside, but I'm not sure how they are inside.

I've heard the area is generally safe except for Case Park, which is a shame because it is a really great park that for whatever reason is not patrolled or maintained well. Other than that, Quality Hill seems really great, I'd probably consider living there if I was single and childless.
