Most wanted in JoCo. Three are believed to be in JoCo. Two in KCK. None in KCMO.
http://www.jocosheriff.org/Index.asp?incl=mw
There was a big car chase that ended at KCI last week. Did you see it? I was thinking this is the last big story in the news that had something to do with JoCo. So I looked it up. This is one set of real losers.
Crime Scene KC
Here is the video of the end of the chase:
Video | Torrid chase ends near KCI - Kansas City Star
From KCPD: The three listed suspects (William Wards, Nancy De Laval, Gregory Bullock) were charged in Platte County with resisting arrest in regard to the vehicle pursuit yesterday at KCI. Ward (driver) was charged with a felony and the two passengers were charged with misdemeanors. All three suspects are from Johnson County, KS.
So, you can thank KCMO for taking down what appears to be a few of the areas's worst criminals.
 .
You seriously need to get a clue.

Johnson County is breeding naiveness at unprecedented levels.
After spending a whole bunch of time over there due to work recently, all I can say is that they're full of crap. Talk about a place that hideously overrates itself.
Jealous? No. I could easily live over there if I wanted to, but it wouldn't be worth it.

So exactly how did this thread get hijacked away from Sprint and into bash the JoCo?
As for the superiority of JoCo, wake up and smell the espresso.

So the sheriff's "most wanted" list is representative of who is committing crimes in a given county? Try looking at the booking and release report. And again, THESE ARE JUST THE PEOPLE WHO GOT CAUGHT. Yeah, there are more Kansas people. Not surprising since they LIVE here. But look at all the Missouri people over in Johnson County arrested/released today - bad check, theft, another theft, obstructing justice, criminal threat, speeding, registration violation, no liability insurance, speeding, no valid driver's license, misdemeanor possession, fugitive, another fugitive, another misdemeanor possession, another no liability insurance, no driver's license, another no liability insurance, possession with intent to sell drugs, probation violation, another fugitive, criminal damage <$500, no liability insurance, driving while suspended. Hmmm....somehow I'm guessing Jackson County (or other Missouri counties in the Kansas City area) don't have that many arrests of Johnson Countians in a day's time. If so, show me the list.
And if you have all day, search through the list of Johnson County's active warrants by city, and choose "Kansas City." It lumps Kansas City, KS and KCMO together, but the list is L-O-N-G. I wonder how many warrants Jackson County has out for Johnson County residents?

Give 'em hell, luzi!
I think they should, after Sprint's carcass lies belly-up in the sun, turn the campus into a prison for caught-in-Johnson-County-but-living-in-Missouri offenders. It ought to be big enough to hold about six months worth.
Where's General Ewing and his order #11 when you need him?

Go back and read every post in this thead again and look at how it progressed into the shtfest it is now. If you still think this was started by MO people that wanted to trash KS, then you are not being honest with yourself.
If Liz would have stayed out of this, it would have been simply about Sprint and the well documented problems they are having.

What you mean by your comment in red up there is that your comments about Sprint and the "well documented problems they are having" would have had less opposition. You like it better when no one calls you on anything you say. Too bad.
The fact is, the company that did that "study" and came to the conclusion that Sprint will go bankrupt has a history of making bad predictions, as I pointed out in one of my first posts in this thread. And eve if Sprint did go south, Overland Park would still be thriving.

As I had said, from my experience the IT industry in Kansas City, Sprint's thrashing tends to depress the IT job market with continual waves of disruption. If it were to just stop, the IT job market would heal fairly quickly and get on with life.

As someone who just moved into the area, I find that an interesting statement! We're currently staying in a apartment until we find a house and we went to a laundromat in Overland Park and it was filled with Hispanics! As a matter of fact, we were one of about three token whites patronizing the place.
Also, on Sunday we ate at the Red Lobster in Overland Park and it seemed to me that it was pretty much a 50/50 mix between blacks and whites. The demographics I read about Johnson County said that about 98% of the residents of Johnson County were white...frankly my personal observations see something much, much different!
