I have always been surprised that the Aldi's near the Great Mall in Olathe is still in business. I went in there once, and I thought it was about the weirdest business model I've ever seen in a grocery store. Whether or not you actually part with any money for a cart, I found it inconvenient and really annoying to have to dig out a quarter in order to get one and then do a reverse transaction on the way out. The products are displayed in a very spartan fashioin, even less appealing than the cheapest warehouse clubs. There is no way you could get me back into one of their stores. You can go to Costco or Sam's and get much better quality products at great prices.

I agree but Aldi's is a better fit for single people or say...an older couple that doesn't eat so much. For a larger family, Costco is the way to go since you can actually eat a 3.5lb bag of chicken nuggets before the next presidential election.l

Once you get past the idea of it's crazy set up- Aldi isn't a bad place to get a few things. If I didn't have one in my neighborhood, I wouldn't go out of my way to shop at one.

I couldn't shop there all the time, nor use it as my everyday source of food.

Some of their frozen products can be hit or miss.

Their produce selection is the same way. However, I have ran into more moldy peppers in there then anywhere else.

For larger familes...kinda hard to shop at. More set up for single/older people/college students/couples/small families. Most larger families here go out to Sam's. We don't have a Costco in Wichita.
