The J.M. Smucker Co. will shut down 179-employee Folgers coffee plant in Kansas City - Kansas City Business Journal:

This is sad news for KC and especially the workers of this plant.

One of the little things I loved about working downtown was the smell of the coffee near the Folgers plant. It's pretty much a Kansas City landmark.

Agreed. Folgers will be missed. The smell of coffee is almost like a signature whever you are on the North side of downtown.
