Default Relocating from Mass

I am moving to KC at the end of July and I would like to know the best neighborhoods to live in. I just graduated college so I am young and looking for some areas that have people my age and some good nightlife. I am simply looking to rent an affordable 1 bedroom apartment in a safe area. Any information you could give me on the different areas of KC would be greatly appreciated

My office is in Lee's Summit, MO and I've been a lifelong resident. So, I like it here an feel it is safe. On the Mo. side, you might check into Lee's Summit or Blue Springs. Up North of the River, Liberty seems to be a growing area in popularity. Overland Park, KS is another hot area.

Do you know what area your work will be in?

I am working in the River Market district, and I dont really want to have a long commute so I was looking at areas in the River Market, Downtown, and Midtown. I am not really familiar with the suburbs of KC

You should definitely live close to work and not in the suburbs. The Plaza, Waldo, Brookside or River Market areas would be perfect for you.

Crown Center has a couple of high rises -- Santa Fe Tower is one. Also, the old Businessman's Assurance is now a condo building.

Downtown KC has a lot of lofts to choose from. If you visit Welcome to Kansas City Loft Central you can see about 6 places for lease. I used to live in Soho South (EBT Building) on 16th and Walnut. They have amazing one bedroom lofts for a reasonable rental amount.
