rental house in Wyandotte county
We are looking into possibly relocating to KC soon and would have to reside in Wyandotte County. Because we are not sure whether or not we want to stay, we would like to rent a house before buying (for an area test drive!!). I would appreciate it if I could get any feedback regarding the rental potential for Wyandotte county - I am having trouble finding any rental info. on the web. We are looking for a 4 bedroom/2.5 bath in a nice neighborhood and can pay 1,400 to 2,000 per month. We need a "dogs allowed". If anyone knows of any for rent websites that would be helpful also. Thanks so much!!!!

Hi There is an area of Wyandotte that is BOOMING.. that would be west.... Piper or Bonner area. Your still in the county but ina more affluant part with lot's of great shopping (Legends), Cabela's, speedway & more. Schools are great as well. Try Socialserve.com - Find Affordable Housing This site was developed for for lower income BUT has all kinds of advance search options and you can slip zips in etc. Good luck and I live locally and wouldn't live (maybe tiny select area's) east of anything 80th in Wyandotte.... sry to offend anyone.

Thanks for your candor
We are thinking of renting near 73rd place just south of Leavenworth. Would you consider this a "tiny select area" or "wouldn't live east of 80th" area? Thanks!

Why do you "have" to live in Wyandotte County? Most of it is a dump but he general rule is the further west you go, the better it gets. But if you can, move to Johnson County.

Looking for rentals
Hi, we are also looking to rent in Wyandotte - Piper School District to be exact. Any suggestions would be great based on what you were able to find. Thanks!

For $2000 a month, you could probably rent an entire block in the Turner area, but then it's a total dump! I haven't seen the newer housing out west, but I went to that new Village West shopping area and it was nice, except that it seemed very strange how it's isolated in the middle of nowhere. I imagine there are decent new homes in the area, but probably cookie-cutter culdesac type houses with ugly siding that will warp and peel in 5 years.
Sorry I'm so negative, but I was born in KCK and have relatives still there. The place is just a pit, in my opinion.
