Now this is where my brother-in-law lives the worst place right now this is SUPER crack central a lot of blacks but other colors too but there is a lot of cool ppl there. Alot of drugs there and big drug dealers it's soo bad that you won't even hear crimes cause ppl don't want to go around there and investigate or see what's happen a lot of drive bys gunsshot robberies, Breakin and entering you don't wanna live there it's at 32 st all around there close by a golf course. There was times I was hangin and I saw these 2 black guys were playin basket ball in there short then a car came and did a drive by then these 2 guys just go for there pants and bust out guns and start shooting back like it was nothin like the cops wont do **** it's real crazy down in the "dirty south" we call it that too... I'm not racist I get along with anyone just don't be stupid and disrespect and it be good I'm done w/gangs but I always lived in the ghetto of Topeka everywhere I moved and I know every bad place there is and I know what's up down here BUT the good parts ehh not soo well i I have a rich friend and he lives nice and lives in Wanamaker everywhere they move was the nice white neighborhood all calm I never even heard about them but yeah Wanamaker houses r pretty nice and calm that's weree there's a lot of stores like Walmart, the mall, bestbuy and restraunts fast food or not Oh and there IS a lot of racing down there and race cars so if your into that then go down around Wanamaker..... This is Topeka

It is amazing how two people can live in the same city and have vastly differently experiences. For the past three years, I have always lived in the nicer parts of the city, and I have never experienced anything even close to what this poster writes about. It might as well be in another state how different the place he describes from the city I have come to know and enjoy. I recognize the landmarks and cross-streets from his post, but his experiences have not been mine.

For anyone thinking about moving here, know that you can live in Topeka for years and never experience anything like what this poster has experienced.
