Jim West is on a distinguished road
OK,,,good you recalled it. I had an email into my daughter. She is with the Highway Patrol there. I can tell her to disregard.

Hays is a regional party town. Hays has the highest per capita beer consumption of anywhere around. At one time Coors listed Hays as the highest. Drinking beer is a cultural norm at Hays. It is like being Volga German Catholic. Lots of people go to Friday night Mass, because they might not be able to make it Saturday or Sunday. I can talk. I lived there. I was married to a Volga. I attended St. Josephs with her for 6 years.

Hays is growing and perhaps one day the cultural scales will tip some other direction. The community is very selective about who lives there. There are almost no blacks or hispanics other than attending the college. And there are virtually no illegals permitted in the community, they are very strict about that, being a community of legal immigrants themselves.
