Moderator cut: personal attack

I'm a Prairie Village native who lived in three other states before moving back to Shawnee, so I know Johnson County pretty well. I worked in KCMO for over 10 years, so I know both sides of the state line. There is good and bad on both sides.

Regarding schools in Johnson County: Shawnee Mission is still a good district. It is a bit older than the Blue Valley District (that was a cow pasture when S.M. began), so some of the facilities are a bit less modern, but the instruction in most schools is top notch. Olathe schools also have a good reputation.

So you are not refuting what i said when i started the thread. You must be in the know with the length of time you lived in JO CO.

Sure I'm refuting your original statement.

I don't think you can generalize and say that everyone in Overland Park looks down on everyone else any more than you can say that KCMO is a terrible place to live. There is good and bad on either side of the line and good and bad people in any location. Blanket condemnations of whole towns are not helpful. Who is being the snob, now?

Sorry! I guess some are not quick on the uptake. I am not trying to be a snob at all. I am just stating what i have observed from growing up and living in the Kansas City area all my life and that includes 2 yrs in Leawood and 9 yrs in OP. I think that most of the poster that come to this forum know themselves that this is not a blanket statement that encompasses everyone. I stated what i have seen and experienced over the years. There is good and bad on both sides of the line. I wouldn't worry about it if i was you; i doubt it will change your life because we disagree. Sounds like "Someone got up on the wrong side of the rock".
