Unhappy Uranium in drinking water!! Lakin, Kansas

Does anybody know if an infant can develop poisoning from the Uranium in our drinking water? I never got a letter but my mom got one a couple of weeks ago and I just found out yesterday after taking my daughter to her pediatrician. She developed a rash/hives all over her body and the doctor asked me what has she been exposed too?? The only thing I could come up with that we have changed was giving her kool-aid and milk!! If anyone can help me please write back so that way I can get this solved!!

A little more detail might be in order.
Has the EPA come into your town or is this just some letter from a lawyer looking for "injury victims" type stuff.
I did a quick google search and nothing came up.

I'd be a little surprised if everyone else in town were ticking along just fun drinking the stuff for decades (?) and just the baby gets a rash? Doubt it.

Lakin did not meet the 2003 Environmental Protection Agency's standard. The uranium level in the water in Lakin is very unsafe. For more information, look at the Environment News Service's November 28, 2008 article entitled "Uranium Found in Kansas Drinking Water Supplies." It briefly discusses some of the consequences of ingesting too much uranium. I'm sure that if you google the effects, you'll get a good case.

The City Data home page will allow you to go look at your town or citys record of drinking water monitoring violations. You can also check on how many perverts live in your town while you're at it !
