Smile Glad Sumner got it

I am from Butler county and I am sure glad Sumner got it instead of Segwick. It will be an extra 15 minute drive, but heck thats nothing. It is better to let Sumner county profit from this than the sesspool Wichita has become getting any of it.

Fast Dog is on a distinguished road
I live in Butler county also, But the problem here is that the dog track is in Sedgwick county. So the no voters had nothing to loose. They were not the ones that literally lost something in this. There will never be another track built in this area, even if slots or a casino are ever approved. Sumner county will not build one. The have no need in it. Now we get to drive for 3 hours either to Kansas City or Frontenac to race.

crap hole is right, wichita is turning into a place that every one knows about but no one wants to go.
The only real city that is anything to brag about is KC and most of it is in missouri.
If there is a base closing or one of the big air companys goes out of wichita, you can say goodby to that town.
It is slowing as I type just becaue of the nation slow down.
but as other towns are trying to bring anything in to their town to make it more apealing to outsiders and bring in extra$ they push out anything they can to make it worse.
so glad I moved out of wichita. let the meth addics have it and maybe the christians can save their soul.

wanderlost will become famous soon enough
In the year 2007, Wichita is still bussing black kids to white schools...does that tell you anything about progress in that city? Third world countries are progressing faster than Wichita....Wichita is actually moving backwards I think. And you're hoping for a casino? Keep dreaming.

Wichita is part of the problem when it comes to the issue of "What Is the Matter With Kansas." The people that live there need to vote for their own economic self-interests instead of being heavily influenced by the ultra-religious right that is prevalant in the city. Until more people realize that they need to vote for their own economic vitality the city will not change.

Wichita will never be Kansas City. So they need to stop waisting their time on two bit sports teams and crappy concerts.

Ouch. Keep that in mind when people from Chicago, NY, & LA say that about KC.
