I just read in today's Dodge City Globe that a Christian School will be opening in Fall 2008

No, I do not recommend moving to Dodge City. If you must, there are good areas of town. It would be a big asset to speak Spanish. As in a lot of places, drugs are running rampant through Dodge and the crimes associated with drugs run high.
Hello, you say that there are good areas of town. Where? What are they called? Need names so that I can look online! Thank you. Liz

NorthCarolina-girl I have no idea what they are called? Just look to the north side of Dodge, or even the west isn't too bad. I'd stay away from the inner area and the southeast side. There are newer homes on the north east side that aren't too bad. I've left some links on your topic!

Don't send your kids to any schools here in dodge!!! Our son went here 1 yr in jr high, there were fights all the time that teachers would over look. He currently goes to Cimarron, which is a blue ribbon school. Excellent school, teachers and admin. are wonderful!! Don't live in Dodge either, we have been here, outside city limits, only for a 1 1/2yrs and we are moving. Just a bad town, crime in and out of city offices is bad. Just read of how the town was founded, by criminals and it is still the same way. They just wear suits and work for the city!!
