Well than you for all the tips. I decline. A quick search will do it for anyone or just talk to Ks residents.

Well, given your first post we have no way of knowing what you may be looking at and misinterpreting this time around.

Basically, this whole thing started out as you coming to the forum to taunt us over politics and to try to use flawed information to do so.

Really, can't you just be content to do this on the political forum like you usually do? No one here is going to give you an easy out like the RWNJ's do by resorting to unfounded accusations like Obama is a commie.

You just seem extremely unused to having a reasonable discussion about a topic and presenting a cogent argument.

You don't want to debate you want to attack personally. Go start your own thread. Have you ever done that?

You haven't made a reasoned point yet in the thread and when asked for sources for you vague claims, you refuse to do so.

This isn't a personal attack, it's just the facts of the matter with regards to your posts.

Why don't you two get a room?

Maybe more Kansans don't have health insurance is because their employers don't offer it. That is why I always picked jobs with employers that do offer it.

If you are in a line of work that doesn't offer it, why don't you accept that fact as part of your line of work and make sure you make enough to buy insurance.

Or maybe some employers don't pay someone to work 40 hours (like a painter friend of mine) so they won't have to offer benefits. My painter friend has never had benefits because his "boss man" is too smart and he doesn't care.

Just saying, maybe there are other reasons involved so you folks don't have to reach into your political party blaming routine which is getting old.

You obviously don't know a lot about Kansas, wages here and the cost of insurance because they don't offer basic policies because Sebelius wanted a requirement for health insurance to cover lots of goodies that most don't use or want. Even if insurance is offered, because of low wages, it is too expensive for the employee. If you look at the working poor, by the time they pay their rent/house payment, pay for their health insurance and food/utilities, they mind as well just go on welfare because then, you don't have to worry about the cost of medical care, are entitled to low cost housing and get cash and food stamps. Seriously, if you do the math, something is wrong. Almost 20% of the people here and in surrounding counties are below the poverty level. So, they can just load up and move where? Do what job somewhere else? Doing so can lead to homelessness! Learn something about the state of the economy before you load up the truck to take off for greener pastures.

Sebelius was elected a long time ago. That was the past. If Kansas wants to go a different course and change policies I'm sure that will happen. The fact of the matter is that wages will always be very low in most areas of Kansas unless one ones a business, ranch, farm, etc or works a good paying job near KC or a few other select areas. This is the big reason why the disconnect exists between Kansas and JOCO. It is sort of like comparing Chicago to downstate Illinois.

Yeah, right. How would you know what I know about Kansas? Answer that please.

I lived in Kansas in 80-82 and again from 88 to 97. Tell me again I don't know a lot about Kansas. Why don't you just make your point without making an idiotic statement about a poster you OBVIOUSLY don't know?

Like i said, I always worked for agency's or company's that offered insurance. It's not rocket science. And regardless of what it covers or how often I use those "goodies" I had insurance. I don't blame the government for my choices.

My best friend was a painter who worked 39 hours a week, so his boss did not have to pay him benefits. And he chose to drink beer every night instead of buying insurance. Not everyone is a victim of circumstance. There ARE exceptions.

Yes, but how has this entire thread been anymore than a political screed against KS by someone that thought we always voted republican?

It might have been. I think the best way forward to solve these issues is cooperation from both political parties. As we have seen, those possibilities don't appear very bright currently.
