Hi Tigerfan, I live three miles from Andover, in the country. Andover is a bedroom community about 10 min. from Wichita and getting closer every day

The community is growing rapidly. In 2000 the population was about 6700, I'm sure it's grown quite a bit since then, mostly new housing. There are two highschools at present and I understand they have very good schools.
The business area of the city is mostly along one long stretch. They just had there yearly city celebration this past week or so, called Greater Andover Days. A brand new small (58 bed, I think) full-care hospital recently opened.
There's isn't really much in the way of clothing stores or the like, but there is fast-food, doctors, dentists, etc., and a nice large grocery store. Most of us just drive to Wichita for real "shopping". Andover still has a small town feel to it but I wouldn't consider it a rural community.
I hope this helps!
