About 10 years ago, I emailed Fred Phelps 1 Corinthians 4. He responded by telling me that I was going to hell. LOL

Coming from Phelps, that's a compliment.

Fred Phelps & crew is just a law firm looking for ways to make $$$s. They hide behind extreme forms of religious fundamentalism. But generally they keep to the one track mode of making a profit.

They stay just barely within the rights of free speech and when people beat them up or other illegal actions, they sue them.

They get free publicity for one thing, by people posting something like this or whining and crying all over the media that they are coming. A radio station I listen to, which is very close to Ft. Campbell, Ky., (Home of the 101st Airborne), said what everybody needs to do is ignore them. Don't post anything about them. You heard they are coming near you because of a funeral? Don't say anything to anybody!! All they have to do is let people get all upset that they are coming, then they don't have to go to that funeral. Their message has been passed on by whiners like this thread!
And, like Mathguy said about suing. The radio personalities I mentioned said the last time they picketed in Clarksville, Tn, which abuts Ft. Campbell, is they had people driving by slow with cameras waiting to film people doing something against this group (not saying their name), so they can sue them.

I agree with kygman. They keep coming up in the KS thread and other than being from here, they are really nothing to speak of. We know about them and it is best to just ignore them since there message(s) are just passed on with threads like this and while the majority do not agree, you still have people who would choose to support them. Generally, noisy people want recognition so just withhold that like you would for a child throwing a fit to be noticed.

Anywhere I'm not just talking about in C-D. I'm talking radio, TV word of mouth, etc.

Did they march at the funeral of Slayer's guitarist? I would have loved to see 100 Slayer fans go up against WBC
