Just curious if anybody knows when the peak sunflower blooming time may be this summer and where the best fields located? Thanks

Are you talking about WILD sunflowers or cultivated fields of Sunflowers?
Late July would be best for the cultivated varieties. The western end of the State has the most acreage devoted to them.
Late June is a good time for WILD Sunflowers and just about everywhere in Kansas.

I'd wait until late August/September for the wild sunflowers.

You are right Mercator. I don't know why I put June in for the Wild sunflowers. They are usually just stalks then.

It's the same...
Wild ones are coming to the end, but cultivated are in huge bloom right now.

The wild sunflowers seem to be blooming everywhere here in Denver. I see neighbors with the large seed-producers that are taller than me are in bloom too, so I'm guessing the sunflower fields out near the KS border are probably looking good about now. I haven't driven across KS in years, but did hit it at the Sunflower peak once. I recall somewhere in Western KS it was just Sunflowers in every direction all the way to the horizon, then clear blue skies.
